15-Minute Asian Chicken Stir-Fry with Rice

Ingredients

For the stir-fried chicken

  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 2 bell peppers, cut into strips
  • 500 g chicken breast, cubed
  • 5 tbsp sweet soy sauce or teriyaki
  • 10 tbsp sweet chili sauce (not actually spicy)
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper

For the rice

  • 1 cup rice

Instructions

  1. 1

Fry the onion in a pan with hot oil. Once golden, add the peppers and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.

  2. 2

Add the sauces and stir for a few more minutes.

  3. 3

Add the chicken and cook until it starts to caramelize.

  4. 4

Lazy rice: rinse the rice in a fine sieve and pour it into a pot of boiling water. Cook for about 10 minutes until tender, drain and serve alongside the chicken.
